Grasping Your Vision

As the days of December are moving forward at a steady pace, we are preparing ourselves for the coming new year. This is also usually a time when we begin to brainstorm goals that we want to accomplish regarding our health and wellness, finances, relationships, etc. We write promise notes to ourselves, update our social media statuses informing “new year, new me” and sign up for new membership deals at the local gym.

But do we really grasp the vision that we desire? Or are we consumed by the first obstacle we encounter, give up and begin adding it to our list of goals for the following year? Maybe I am the only one who has done that. However, in 2018 I decided that things would be different. I worked on shifting my mindset, changing people, places and things and practicing self care more frequently. I am happy to say that I achieved them. Of course there were tears, frustrations and disappointments that left me questioning why things did not go how I planned. I continually reminded myself that I did not want to be in the same place I was the year before and that was my motivation.

I would encourage you to write your goals and grasp your vision this coming year. Surround yourself with likeminded people that want you to be successful. Attend self improvement workshops, read books or articles that promote positive wellbeing and create a vision board so that you can have a constant reminder of your mission. What you want to achieve is possible and I will be proving resources and activities to help us (me and you) stay on track. Let’s take a hold of our futures…write the vision and make it plain.
