Psalm 37:4

This bible verse states that when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. I’ve said this verse many times. Recited it from memory and have visual reminders around my home but it wasn’t until January 2018 that I truly and completely understood the depth of this. Many times I had delved deeper into the word of God in hopes that the things I desired could be achieved. However, during my time of cooperate consecration I realized that when I devoted more time to God He brought out desires in me that I didn’t realize I had in order to fulfill the purpose(s) He had for me! It clicked…delight in Him and be enlightened. Some may think say, “duh, what did you think that verse meant?” I can honestly say that until my mindset shifted, I was very focused on ME. What I wanted.
